With just one hour of travel you will be transported to the time of the empire in the city that was the residence of the royal family of the last emperor of Brazil. It is a town surrounded by mountains, streams, waterfalls and a very particular charm.

You will visit the Palacio da Quitandilha, built in the 1940s with the aim of becoming the largest casino hotel in South America. Today it is the largest palace in Brazil and one of the largest in Latin America.
You will also visit the Crystal Palace, a beautiful iron and glass structure of French origin. It was inaugurated in 1884 and still preserves original glass pieces inside. It also constitutes the symbol of the liberation of slaves carried out on Easter in 1888 in this same place. Declared Historical and Artistic Heritage, this palace is part of the architectural and passage complex of the old Praça da Confluência.
One of the stops on our tour is at the home of Santos Dumont, the famous inventor, engineer and pioneer of aviation. It is a picturesque residence, with some unique peculiarities that speak volumes about the personality of Santos Dumont. Converted into a museum, also known as "La Encantada", it is one of the must-see attractions in this wonderful city.
You will also visit the Imperial Museum, ideal to admire objects and jewelry of historical value belonging to the monarchy. Popularly known as the "Imperial Palace" it is located in the historical center of the city of Petrópolis and is the most visited museum in Brazil.
You will meet the famous Relógio das Flores located in front of the Catholic University of Petrópolis. It is an electronic clock and designed with seasonal flowers, built in 1972 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Independence of Brazil.
You will also visit the Cathedral of San Pedro de Alcántara in Petrópolis, patron saint of the Brazilian monarchy and a very traditional Chocolate Factory.
The tour includes a stop at Rua Teresa, considered the fashion pole, so you can do your shopping.

Passengers located in other areas must present themselves at the following meeting points: Sofitel Ipanema Hotel (Av. Vieira Souto, 460 - Ipanema): for passengers staying in Barra da Tijuca, Recreio, São Conrado, Jacarepaguá, Leblon, Jardim Botanico. Botafogo Praia Shopping (Praia de Botafogo, 400): for passengers staying in Botafogo. Hotel Novo Mundo (Rua Praia de Flamengo 20): for passengers staying in Flamengo, Laranjeiras, Rio Comprido, Gloria, Catete, Gamoba, Centro, Santo Cristo, Santa Teresa, Maracana, Tijuca. At the end of the excursion, passengers will be left at their respective hotels or at the indicated meeting point.
